SoundTransit - installation
The SoundTransit project revolves around a growing collection of environmental sounds recorded by 'soundhunters' from all over the world. Each sound artist described the place and moment of the recording, the characteristics of the location or the peculiarity of the sound itself. These stories add another dimension to the sounds; one that connects and simultaneously exceeds time and place.

At Museum De Paviljoens in Almere (NL) you can make a continuous sonic journey. By visiting six different places within the museum, you can create your own personal sonic journey. At each location, you collect the currently playing sound with your soundtransit tag, a rfid card handed out to each visitor. At home you logon to this page and complete your journey. In this way the 'physical' journey in the museum is connected with the online environment of SoundTransit.
